We talk to colleagues and customers with a natural ease on a daily basis, often overlooking what a demanding task such a dialog already represents. Only when we fail to overcome a language barrier do we realize the complexity.
ALTERNIS (Latin: in exchange, in dialog) also masters the skills of communication and can understand, translate and speak 25 languages at the same time.
Capabilities

A basic requirement for communication is that the language of the other person can be identified. ALTERNIS only needs 4 words to be able to reliably recognize a language.

Speech recognition extracts the spoken text from an audio signal. ALTERNIS uses the latest AI technologies to reliably recognize the text despite background noise or accent.

The recognized text is now used to translate the speech. There is one speaker, but possibly several listeners. ALTERNIS translates the text individually for each listener into their own language.

A translated text can be displayed visually for reading. In addition, the text can also be made audible and output as an audio signal for a caller using speech synthesis (TTS).

Cloud versus On-Premise
Depending on what is being discussed, a conversation can be very sensitive. Considering this, data processing should be correspondingly secure. For this reason, ALTERNIS can be run either in the cloud or on-premise.
A Cloud solution can offer many advantages. It eliminates the need to operate your own hardware and offers flexibility and scalability. Our cloud solutions do not require platforms from American corporations and run in German data centers.
An On-Premise installation in your own data center on your own servers offers more control over the data. Please contact us for more details.
